A celebration full of color and connection
Some gatherings feel more like a story unfolding than an event on a calendar. Sky and Remi’s baby shower was one of those days. The room was filled with color, laughter, and a kind of anticipation that felt bigger than the occasion itself. Everyone seemed to know they were celebrating something extraordinary: twins, two stories beginning at once.
The joy in every small detail
It was spring in Ohio, the light soft and forgiving. Tables overflowed with color, from floral arrangements to hand-wrapped gifts. Friends moved easily between conversation and laughter while a Polaroid camera made its rounds, capturing fragments of joy as they happened. Those instant prints, imperfect and spontaneous, felt like the heartbeat of the day.
Even though I was there as a friend, I found myself watching and documenting the way I would any story. Quietly, intentionally, and with an appreciation for the moments that make a celebration feel alive.
Reflection
There was so much happiness in that space. Every frame seemed to carry both joy and anticipation, as if everyone could already picture the two little lives about to arrive. It reminded me that the best stories are often the ones we get to witness right at the beginning.
